On August 30 Governor McMaster issued Executive Order 2019-25 increasing gross vehicle weight limits to 90,000 pounds on state roads for trucks transporting timber in response to Hurricane Dorian. The Executive Order applies statewide and expires in 30 days.

“We appreciate Governor McMaster recognizing the need for including timber in his Executive Order and want to thank the employees of the Forestry Commission and other agencies who have been working with the SC Emergency Management Division in preparation for Hurricane Dorian,” said Cam Crawford, Forestry Association President and CEO.
“We will continue to post information as it becomes available and assist the forest industry throughout the Hurricane,” added Crawford.
